The standard 16v with stock injection can run 75bhp of nitrous oxide with little fuss. The standard knock sensor keeps the engine safe and after running nitrous on this engine for two years, when I stripped it to build on the supercharger there was negligable wear. One thing I do recommend though is cosworth end bolts, just in case. Also I really look after my engines with constant maintenance and tests so they never give up when I need them. I had this nitrou conversion around 1995, later replaced with a supercharger and currently blown and nitrous injected.
